I wanted to share my experience with you, with Kian Motors. And hopefully your experience with Kian Motors, if you do business with them, is not the same. I was looking for a used RS Q8 one or two years old I was looking for and I saw this online. And so I called Kian Motors up and I spoke with Layne and I said, you know, tell me about the vehicle.
And it sounded like everything that I wanted that I, you know, just wanted to hear it verbally. And then I said, tell me about any scratches around the vehicle. And he sent me some pictures. In those pictures I couldn’t see the scratches that I saw when I got there. But I said walk around it and just share it with me because there’s going to be some scratches.
Okay? I just wanted to know how bad they are. So the first thing I noticed when I got there, the car looked like it, like he showed. But then I started walking around. It had two chips here and I had my friend paint this. He owns a body shop. He painted this. Then over here he took light grit sandpaper and rubbed off the white.
And the black was showing through. Not anything horrible. And I would have bought the car. I did buy the car. Anyways, when I showed up and, you know, just had that fixed and you know how some people then when they unload the car they let the suitcase just bang off of it. I don’t do that. I pick it up it.
Back here, it had two chips under here that I had fixed. Also, And since then I had a clear broad and all that. But I bought the car August 7th, I flew in from Saint Louis to Dallas, grabbed a taxi, went over to Plano, Texas, for Kian Motors. So I’m down there and I see this scratch. I said, You know what?
I’ll take care of it. No biggie. I wish you would disclosed it. That would be nice. Now, the other two things that are small, but tell a lot about someone’s character and integrity is that when I bought the car, I wired them the money that day when I was sitting there in their office, I didn’t get the title for 58 days, two days before the temp tags expired, and I had to threaten them with what I’m doing right now.
Okay. Also, there’s supposed to be a spare set of keys. Come with it. And that came after the title. Okay, So they’re real good at saying yes, yes, yes to what your desires are when you’re buying a vehicle, but follow up really sucks. Now, the big one is right here knowing that I have a clean carfax. Three days later, after leaving the lot on August the seventh, we get some water coming in and my wife has it coming over her shoulder, down the seatbelt.
I’m like, where is this coming from? And then mine starts doing the same thing, so no big deal. Clean carfax under warranty 13,000. So, Miles, I’m going to just take it in. Let Audi fix it. They take it in. They call me back and said, this is not under warranty. I said, What do you mean? He says, this is not Audi paint.
The seals were wrinkled, and door trim was wrinkled. So I said, All right, I’ll pay for that. And he said, Well, we’re not 100% sure it just stops there. There might be the moonroof because that could be leaky also. So we had to replace it was $4,095. But it sat from August 14th, this “new to us” vehicle to September 15th, a little over a month because we had to wait for the parts to come in and they kept it inside.
So whenever it did rain, it wouldn’t take water inside. The interior is perfect. So I wanted to share that with you. Roll the time up a little bit. I’m talking to Kian Motors about this. They said they’ll take care of it. I’ll wait for a check. I go on a couple of trips. Check doesn’t come in. So now we start talking about-
What are we going to do? I said, You know what? How about I tell them that, you know, look at this website that we have Beware Kian Motors and I am going to share my experience. They said, well, we’ll pay it. The $4,095 here in a text message, you can see right here, they’re only going to pay $2,000 of it now.
So when you go to Kian Motors, they’re going to do a great job of yes, yes, yes. Just telling you everything you want to hear. And I hope that they don’t do to you what they’ve done to me.
